While all eyes are on Gauteng for the inaugural Dr Disi One Handers Festival, the Dr Disi Foundation in partnership with SMTAX is excited to open another call — this time for the Eastern Cape leg of DDHOF, to take place at the Dimbaza Shack Theatre (DST) on 5th December 2026.

The festival is not only open to artists based and working in the Eastern Cape, but to all artists from across the country who are interested in being part of this exciting theatre festival built on financial exchange to benefit the artists themselves.

The 1st leg of DDHOF in Gauteng already boasts artists, organizations and practitioners from Mpumalanga, Gauteng, Eastern Cape and beyond. DDHOF will be hosted in different provinces across the country with the aim of preserving art and giving a platform to artists creating solo performances.

If you are interested in applying for the EC DDHOF, you are encouraged to do so. Artists travelling from outside the Eastern Cape are required to make their own transport and accommodation arrangements. Our office is more than happy to assist and give direction where needed.

Those who wish to take part in the festival are invited to apply through our website and send proof of payment (POP) for registration to artivistmediatv@gmail.com

There is a non-refundable application fee of R500.00
